How to disable contacts being Auto-Linked when emailing from a Company

Background

Prophet has an optional feature that allows Contacts to be Auto-Linked to Companies and Contacts.  When Full Auto-Linkage is enable for your Prophet account, when Auto-Linked emails are sent or received, they are automatically linked to the Company and/or Contact.  Those can then be seen on the emails tab of the Company or Contact Manager.

Changing the Default Behavior

Starting with Prophet version 8.4.330, if full Auto-Linkage is enabled for your company, when sending email from an open Company, the Contact(s) that you emailed will be set to be AutoLinked.

If you do not want this, please download the file at the bottom of this article and run AutoLinkCompanyContactDisabled.reg.  Click Yes and OK to any prompts.
